                        TROMBONE INSTRUCTION

I have been teaching trombone at Emory University since 1991. Typically, my Emory students are highly-motivated and highly-achieving individuals who are pursuing a professional career while retaining their passion for music and the desire to play their instruments better.   Here is a link to my Emory Artist Affiliate page:

I also teach a private studio at my home in Tucker.  In practice I like to stress the importance of good sound and fundamentals--how to understand the instrument kinesthetically.

One of my great passions is presenting clinics/masterclasses for brass students.  These are basically group lessons.   When students perform before their peers with instructor feedback, the experience  can often have a greater impact than private study.
CONTRACTING - Music for All Occasions

As a contractor, I provide musicians for various venues:  church services, concerts, weddings, receptions, graduations, etc.   I hire only the finest and most professional  musicians available.  I believe that employers value the care with which I select players for events, taking into account not only players' abilities, but also personalities;  because music is at its best when people work together.

My 25 years experience in Atlanta's music scene assures that I know the depth of field well in this regard.   I am also proud to be a member of the Atlanta Federation of Musicians and hire only members of this professional organization.
